San Pedro Sula International AirportS is the main airport serving the area and is serviced regularly by TACA www.tikalpark.com/inter-taca2.htm, American, Continental and Iberia airlines. San Pedro Sula is easily reached via direct flights from the following North American gateways: Miami, Houston, New Orleans, New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. In addition, there are excellent connections via the Central American Airlines through San Jose in Costa Rica; San Salvador in El Salvador and Guatemala City in Guatemala. There is also a daily service by Isleña airlines, Aerolinas Sosa and Atlantic Arilines to San Pedro Sula from La Ceiba, Roatan and Tegucigalpa. There is a new way to get to Copan servicing small air craft and the closest air strip is TABLONES, 12 kilometers way, in Guatemala... We will take you there by a privately chartered flight only as this is still not a commercial route.
