ATTRACTIONS:     The Copan National Park

You will catch the bus leaving Guatemala City for Honduras at 5:00 a.m. and will take a scenic route through the Guatemalan countryside, at 10:00 a.m. you will arrive at the bus terminal for your check in at your hotel. Lunch on your own. In the afternoon your guide will pick you up and take you to explore the Copan National Park throughout the afternoon. After your tour you will visit the Copan Sculpture Museum where you will appreciate some of the original sculptures that were moved to the museum for conservation purposes. Your guide will take you back to your hotel. On the following morning you may again visit the site on your own or you may take the morning to explore the town of Copan Ruinas . At 1:30 p.m. head on to the bus terminal for your drive back to Guatemala City or on to your next destination.

On day 1 of your tour you may board the bus heading to Copan or your driver will pick you up at your hotel lobby. After check in at your hotel you will have time to visit the small town of Copan Ruinas which was built by scholars in the 19 th century and since has grown around the Archaeological site of Copan. There are many points of interest in Copan Ruinas. Among them the local artisans market, the Regional Archaeology Museum, various shops and restaurants that are worth seeing. On day 2 you will take the guided tour of Copan that starts from your hotel lobby, you will spend the whole day learning about the Maya and their many accomplishments. Lunch is included with your tour today, after lunch you will get the guided tour of the Sculpture Museum within the park, you will witness a full scale replica of Copan 's jewel Rosalila, and after your tour your guide will take you back to your hotel where you will spend the rest of the day on your own. On day 3 you may enjoy any of our optional tours or take the rest of the day on your own before you proceed on to your next destination…
