The Jungle Lodge has comfortable accommodations, which include hot, and cold showers, two double beds, whirling ceiling fans, private front porches in all of its cabanas and a restaurant service. As they say, this all comes with a symphony of birds, courtesy of the jungle. The Jungle Lodge has a beautiful swimming pool, for a good splash after a day full of fun & adventure, where you can float and admire the natural surroundings... keel-billed toucans, vireos, tanagers, buntings, and howler monkeys!
The Jaguar Inn is only a 10 minute walk away from the ruins, at the Tikal village. The Tikal village consists of 3 hotels, 2 museums, visitor's center, post office, handicraft shops, local eating places, campground, the Park Administration HQ, and the main parking lot. Access to the Tikal ruins is by foot only; all cars must remain at the Tikal village, unless there are elderly or handicapped people requiring assistance. The entrance to the hotel is dominated by our traditional, thatched roofed restaurant building and its outdoor tables. Our bungalows are set off discreetly to one side, surrounded by lush tropical jungle. |
